Stolen AQHA Stallion Foxeys Finest Kid, AQHA # 4069220 Stallion

Foxey has been recovered !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is in poor shape, very thin and has strangles, but we have him !!!!!
I sent for a DNA test kit today from AQHA to finish proving its him.
The lady who has him now is nursing him back to health and did not know she had a stolen horse.

We have made the decision to let her keep him. I cannot bring him home and risk spreading strangles to my healthy horses and this lady is known by my local humane officer to care and love horses who have been neglected and nurse them back to health.

Laura Trout is being charged with theft by deception, and Karen Lanious aka The Mustang Lady and her daughter Fawn Irwin of West Point/ Lisbon Ohio is being investigated for trading stolen horses. They knew he was stolen and lied to the investigating officer today. His white diamond and snip was covered with hair dye.

Please List my sincere gratitude to Richard Parks the stable owner, Debi Metcalfe from netposse.com, Stephanie Schoelzel from http://www.pillion.com/stolen.html , Christine Berry from EPN, All the posters from dreamhorse.com forum, The Mercer State Highway Patrol, and Bill Fast, Columbiana County Deputy Sherriff/Humane Officer for their quick action. Last but not least, Shirley Wooley for taking in a very sick horse and loving and caring for him. Without everyone helping me, I dont think I would have ever found him.

Again, my gratitude, my thanks, and love.
Christy Cook

Foxeys Finest Kid
AQHA # 4069220
Stallion
Bay, Black mane and tail, white diamond on forehead and white snip on nose

Was sold on contract to Laura Trout of last known address:
919 Columbia Ave
Grove City, PA

The stable address where Foxey was kept:
49 Woodland Rd.
Mercer, PA

At some time in May 2003 Laura Trout sold or traded Foxey without his owners permission. Foxey was never paid for by Laura Trout and he did not belong to her.

We believe Foxey was traded for a gray half belgium type horse and was taken to Ohio in a trailer with bicentennial liscense plates.

Whoever has him now is probably not aware he was stolen, and we have no desire to cause trouble for them. In fact, we may provide the new owners with his registration papers in return for a good home and their help.

As you know, unregistered horses can end up in slaughter pens and we do not want this to happen to Foxey. DNA typing is available for him. He may have been gelded, he was a stallion when Laura Trout got him. We are offering a reward to anyone who comes forward and leads us to Foxey.

If you have any information, please contact Christy Cook: Four C's Ranch at (330) 457-2695 or cassann@cisnet.com,

or the Mercer County State Highway Patrol: Officer Robert Soros at (724) 662-6162

Editors Note: These picts came to me severly jpeg compressed with the horse in the shadows. I've done my best to lighten them up so you can see the horses confirmation.

I am not possitive, but have a gut instinct that a horse at a barn where I keep my horses may very well be a stolen horse.

Unfortunately, I found the skum guy that had this horse. Actually, he had several horses that were just not properly cared for.

This horse has a white star marking in the middle of his forehead. He is a very dark bay quarter horse. He has the number 1 brand on his facial cheek on the left.

He has a brand that is a letter L with a bar on top of it, and then hanging at the bottom right of the L is the letter G. It is on top of his left hip rear of the horse next to his tail.

The peope that have him now do not ride him, just feed feed feed him, so he is a bit plumper than he was. They have had him for over a year. If he is stolen, I have no idea how long ago. I have the name of the man and his phone number that I believe was involved in stealing him, if he is indeed a stolen horse.

He may have been taken from right here in AZ, or certainly could have been somewhere else. He is maybe 8-10 years old.

The man that had him was very wierd and shaddy. He did not have papers on him (and when I say papers, I am referring to a hauling card which, here in AZ, are the same as ownership papers). Told a story that his brother wife left his brother and his brother use to own the horse.

Then when it was time to take the horse, he said he belonged to his partner, and wanted money for him. The woman that has him refused to pay more than a $1. He was very wierd about the entire transaction, and seemed to be in a big hurry to "unload" a few horses. He did agree to $1 sale just to get rid of him quick.

I know the people that have this horse suspect he is stolen, and are not even making an attempt to find out. Let me know what else I can do. I sure would like to get this horse back to the owner.

It would kill me if someone stole one of my horses.
